The Malheur County Fair and Rodeo: A Celebration of the Pacific Northwest

The Malheur County Fair and Rodeo has been a staple of the Pacific Northwest since its humble beginnings in 1909. Originally organized as the Ontario Corn Festival, the fair has evolved into one of the region’s premier agricultural and cultural events.
Each year, the fair draws over 20,000 visitors to Ontario, Oregon, to celebrate the diversity of the region’s agricultural and homemaking traditions. From livestock shows and rodeos to arts and crafts exhibits, the fair has something for everyone.
In addition to its annual fair, the Malheur County Fairgrounds hosts a variety of events throughout the year. The fairgrounds are also home to the Desert Sage Event Center, a versatile venue that can accommodate a wide range of events.

Camping

The Desert Sage Event Center offers:

Onsite 3-day Limited Camping
32 – 30/50amp pedestal hook-ups and limited water hook-ups
Dry camping availability
RV Dump Station on site (Outside and east of Main Gate in the front parking lot)
Overnight Horse Stall Rentals

Costs:

$50.00/night fee RV WITH WATER AND ELECTRICAL
$25.00/night fee RV DRY Camping
$5.00 fee for RV DUMP STATION (to be paid at dump station separate form camping)
$20.00/night fee for BOX HORSE STALL (bedded)

Answers To Commonly Asked Questions:

We do NOT take reservations for Camping. It is first come first serve.
There is a “CAMP BOX” near the Camping Area with envelopes for payment.
Horse Stall Rentals MUST be reserved during business hours to ensure stall is unlocked and bedded prior to arrival.
Please contact the Fair Office for special accommodations on a case by case basis.
